The greatest wetland tool since the soil auger!
Have you found yourself wondering how your wetland or stream site is doing? Wouldn’t it be nice to know what happens to your stream when it rains? What does bankful look like? Why do I have pools where the riffles are supposed to be?
This is where our new SwampCam can help you. Place this outdoor camera near your stream or wetland site and set it to watch your site. It takes photos automatically. Set it daily, hourly, or every few minutes. The camera does all the work. It will stitch together the photos to make a time lapse movie that you can watch on your computer. Plus it does it all by itself. All you need to do is download the files.
The camera runs on 4 standard AA batteries for up to 6 weeks. It also takes a standard SD storage card that you can either download or swap out when you change the batteries.
This camera has hundreds of uses including:
- Wetland Studies
- Stream Bankfull Monitoring
- Flood Studies
- Endangered and Threatened Species Studies
- Remote Monitoring
Colleges and Universities are also finding that this camera is an inexpensive alternative to expensive time lapse equipment typically used in laboratories. Design companies are using this camera to keep an eye on the contractor while they are working on the restoration site.
The camera comes with everything you need to get started including mounting straps, a camera arm, directions and of course, batteries!
